Interests: International relations, peace and war, international political psychology, international political communication. Professor Beer received his A.B. (1960) from Harvard and an M.A. (1963) and Ph.D. (1967) from Berkeley. He has been President of the International Studies Association/West and served as Chair of the Boulder Faculty Assembly.
