Santiago is a PhD student in the Civil Engineer program at CU Boulder working with Dr Aditi Bhaskar. He is currently studying the effects of urbanization on streamflow and the implementation of green technologies in urban environments. Santiago graduated from the Universidad de Guadalajara in 2018 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He obtained a MS in Water Management and Hydrological Science in 2022 from Texas A&M University, where he worked with Dr Gretchen Miller analyzing the performance of managed aquifer recharge strategies in the Houston Metro Area. Besides his research Santiago enjoys cooking, going out for a walk, and volunteering with organizations that promote rainwater harvesting.
