Experimenting with batteries, bulbs, buzzers, switches and other electrical components is a great way to learn about circuits and start to think about how to incorporate sounds into your Build a Better Book project.
Some key considerations for students to keep in mind when adding circuits and switches to create tactile elements:
- What will help identify the switch and differentiate it from other tactile elements?
- What unique features (e.g., shape, texture, etc.) should be included to explain how to activate a switch?
- How big or small does an element need to be in order to be understood by touch? Keep in mind appropriate scale relative to other elements in the project, etc.
