Live Streamed: A History of the Live Streaming Medium


 

This project looks at the history of live streaming, a medium that hasn’t really been explored too much. Starting with its conception by the company XEROX, live streaming eventually blew up, turning into a massive social media industry where viewers could create their own content live. Through the use of interviews and found footage, this documentary aims to tell the story of the medium of live streaming, looking at its inception, booms, busts, and all the interesting decisions companies have made over the years to lead us to the live streaming landscape there is today.
