Rey Gallegos

Rey Gallegos was a 4th generation North Denver resident who lived in the Globeville neighborhood. Raised in Denver, he spent time in Texas and Maryland, and it was living in Maryland and nearby Washington D.C. and its socioeconomic climate that led him to develop a passion for social justice, community leadership, and positive neighborhood change. He had been involved in community organizing, social justice, and community consulting for 10+ years and was a community connector with Groundwork Denver. He had a goal of creating positive social change, education, and economic opportunities, all while improving the health, outlook, and well-being of not only his neighborhood but others throughout the city and country who have been affected by a fast-growing and ever-changing community landscape.
