Game Day Transportation

A great option for getting to and from campus is the RTD bus system.  RTD buses run from Denver to Boulder and other Colorado locations. RTD's Trip Planner will pick the four best bus routes possible based on your location, destination, time you plan to leave, etc. Multiple buses, including the Hop and Flatiron Flyer, have stops on or next to Main Campus.

If you don’t live close enough to an RTD bus stop to walk or bike there, taking a car to an RTD parking garage is also available! Most Park-n-Rides, as they garages are called, have free parking. RTD's How to Park page gives various information on fees, but for fast facts, refer to the right hand column that begins with “Fees at Park-n-Rides”.

Another great mode of transportation is the bike! Whether it's your own cruiser or a rented one, there are more than enough bike racks to lock your bike to. B-Cycle has 40 stations in Boulder, 10 of which are directly on or near campus. Full-time students ride for free, while there are several other options available for non-students.

Parking

Please refer to CU Boulder's Football Event Parking page  for information on parking fees and game day shuttles. Here are some fast facts to know before deciding to bring your personal vehicle to the game:

  • Parking lots open six hours before kickoff
  • Campus is most busy for the 60 minutes after the game ends.

Fast Safety Tips

  • Always have a contingency plan with those you’re visiting campus with, as the population at CU Boulder will be massive on game days.
  • Campus Security Officers (CSO’s) and CU-Boulder police officers will be available around Folsom and across campus if you have any concerns.
  • Come prepared with a clear bag to hold your belongings--avoid having to purchase a locker or trek back to your car!
  • Report any suspicious activity to security in the stadium or officers outside.
  • Be safe, trust your gut, and have fun!
