RASEI Fellow Julie Lundquist and Mathew Aitken had an early online release of the first published paper describing wind turbine wake characteristics from a multi-MW turbine as measured from a nacelle-mounted liar titled Utility-scale wind turbine wake characterization using nacelle-based long-range scanning lidar.

RASEI Fellow Julie Lundquist et al recently published a modeling study of wind turbine wakes titled Implementation of a generalized actuator disk wind turbine model into the weather research and forecasting model for large-eddy simulation applications. This is a CU, NREL, NCAR and LLNL collaboration.
