Greetings, catalog reviewers,

Thank you to everyone who submitted workflow edits for the 2022–23 catalog production cycle! If we didn't receive any updates for your pages, then the same people who reviewed your catalog pages last year will do so again this year.

If your workflows are affected by any additional staffing changes this fall, please let us know by submitting a workflow update.

Sign Up for a Catalog/Curriculum Training Session

As we mentioned in our last message, now that the catalog is fully integrated with our curriculum inventory management system (CIM), we're slightly delaying the initial unit/departmental review process so you can attend one of our vendor-led training sessions.

These sessions will provide a high-level overview of the curriculum update and approval process from the perspective of a catalog reviewer, including how to:

  • Locate curriculum records in CIM
  • Submit revisions for existing programs
  • Navigate CIM's automated review and approval workflow
  • Approve submitted revisions

We'll be meeting with our core user group this Wednesday, and we'll offer two one-hour trainings next Monday and Wednesday for all other catalog reviewers:

  • Monday, Nov. 1, 2–3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2:30–3:30 p.m.

There's no attendance limit for each session, so please join us if you can! We plan to record one of the sessions and will try to have a link available the week of Nov. 8.

Sign Up for a Catalog Working Session

We're offering virtual catalog working sessions again this year, which are a great opportunity to get one-on-one training, troubleshooting and/or advice from a member of the catalog team. If this is your first year working on the catalog, we encourage you to sign up so we can give you a quick orientation.

We currently have several working sessions available during the first two weeks of November; click the button below to sign up. Additional sessions will be added in the coming weeks to provide support through the first review deadline (Friday, Dec. 17).

Updated Production Schedule

We'll be kicking off the workflows for academic program pages in the 2022–23 catalog starting on Monday, Nov. 1, with a target department/unit review deadline of Friday, Dec. 17.

Aside from the slight kickoff delay discussed above to accommodate the vendor-led trainings, the production schedule will follow the same framework as last year.
