Summer Session 2025 Academic Dates & Deadlines
We sent this email at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, to Main Campus, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students (not law) who were eligible to enroll in summer classes and had not applied for May graduation.
Dear [first],
Thinking about taking classes this summer? Summer Session at CU Boulder has hundreds of classes available to help you earn credit toward your degree. Summer classes allow you to shorten your time to graduation and let you focus on one or two classes at a time.
Summer Session courses are offered during multiple sessions that fit your schedule and, if your summer unexpectedly frees up, registration remains open through at least the second day of the session (view session calendars).
Session Dates & Instruction Formats
This summer, classes are available in multiple instruction modes: in-person, online, remote or hybrid. You can check your class's instruction mode using the summer class schedule.
- Maymester: May 12–30
- Session A: June 2–July 3
- Session B: July 8–August 8
- Session C: June 2–July 25
- Session D: June 2–August 8
- Augmester: August 4–20
- Boulder Variable Sessions
Since summer classes are typically shorter than full-semester classes, it’s important to view the session calendars to make sure you understand session deadlines and impacts (including drop and withdrawal deadlines).
If you have any questions about summer courses, contact your academic advisor or email the Summer Session team.
If you're using VA benefits to pay for classes, please monitor your schedule for changes to the instruction method and contact CU Boulder's Veteran and Military Affairs office with questions.
