Steven Stasica is the Director of Real Estate Services (RES) on the Boulder campus. In this role, he and his team are responsible for managing a diverse portfolio consisting of over 1 million square feet in real property assets and facilities across campus. Steven oversees all of the RES department finances and operations including; the negotiation, execution and management of leases and agreements for internal and external University entities, development and implementation of annual operating and capital/R&R project budgets for the campus Research Building System portfolio, ensuring compliance with campus/state/federal lease requirements, as well as developing and maintaining strategic partnerships that support CU Boulder’s short and long-term strategic real estate initiatives. 

Steven began his career in real estate and real property asset management in 2005, and he has served the Boulder campus in the Real Estate Services department since 2014. Prior to joining RES, Steven’s previous experience includes Senior Asset Management Specialist for Fidelity National Financial, Underwriter for Urban Lending Solutions, as well as residential real estate brokerage. 

Steven received his undergraduate degree from CU Boulder, and he holds an Executive Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from CU’s Leeds School of Business. He serves as the chair of the Wireless Governance Committee on the Boulder campus, and he is actively involved in the Boulder campus Energy Action Group, as well as the University of Colorado cross-campus Facilities Directors Committee, he is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, and the Association of University Real Estate Officials. In his spare time, you may find Steven cycling, fishing, snowboarding or golfing in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
