Kyle Schlafmann

Kyle grew up in the upper Midwest and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2017 with a B.S. in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. While an undergraduate, Kyle conducted research on the rheology of lignocellulosic biomass suspensions and completed an industrial co-op in the Healthcare Packaging segment of Bemis Company, Inc. Kyle joined the Responsive and Programmable Materials Group under Prof. Timothy White in the Fall of 2018, and is currently focused on developing fully solid, dynamic optical elements. Kyle was selected as an NDSEG fellowship recipient in 2020.
