Trinity Vigil

Research in the humanities and social science has always been something I have been very passionate about. STUDIO lab would provide me the space and structure to enhance and explore my future education and career plans. I plan to obtain my PhD in the near future in higher education. Diversity and inclusion in higher education is something I want to research, more specifically the social and economic inequalities that limit students from being able to study abroad in higher education. I see research playing a big part in my future career goals and life plans and studio lab is a great stepping-off point for me. 

I have conducted research in the past on an academic and personal level. My study abroad experience has shown me that international education and research is something that I am very passionate about. My experience as a first generation student has shown me that research to better the field of education is important and possible. My passion for research to dismantle systematic inequalities aligns with the goals studio had laid out, and I hope I get to accomplish those.
