SMS Surveys

SMS (small messaging service) surveys are brief surveys sent to a participants via a text message to their cell phone. They can help streamline the survey process by making it easier for participants to respond at any time. SMS surveys are a valuable feedback tools due to high response rates and they are a preferred format for many participants.

When to Use: After an event or workshop for quick feedback

SMS Survey Tips:

  • Keep survey short - 1-3 questions, tell people how long it will take to respond
  • Introduce yourself or brand your survey so respondents know who sent the survey
  • Share survey code at the end of an event or program, or send survey at an optimal time of day when people are likely to respond
