During its 55+ year history, the University of Colorado Retired Faculty Association (CURFA) coordinated at the System Office, has acted on behalf of faculty retirees and their spouses in the protection and expansion of retiree benefits, the continued participation of retirees in the life of the university, and the maintenance of contacts among and activities for retired faculty.

With the initiative and efforts of the CURFA executive committee members, the new University of Colorado Boulder Retired Faculty Association (UCBRFA) was specifically created in January 2020 for CU Boulder retired faculty. UCBRFA aims to facilitate successful retirement experiences for current and soon-to-be retirees, and encourage retired faculty members to remain actively involved in academic, educational, scholarly and cultural activities on the Boulder campus. The association is supported and funded by the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of the Provost and the Office of Faculty Affairs, and is closely allied with the Boulder Faculty Assembly (BFA).

UCBRFA welcomes members from all categories of retired and soon-to-be retired CU faculty, their spouses and domestic partners, and members of the Boulder community with an interest in participating in the association’s activities and programming.
