Music in the Rock Era
This course examines rock and rock related music, concentrating on the U.S. after 1950. The class will consider precursor styles (e.g., blues and folk) and contributions to the new rock styles, and will discuss the evolution of rock style from 1960 through the present day. The course will also explore the social impact of rock, metal, funk, etc.
