Biography
Sarah Garcia-Smith serves as the Executive Aide to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Operations. In this role she provides executive level support for the Senior Vice Chancellor and professional coordination of various projects and initiatives within Strategic Resources and Support.
Sarah has been a member of the CU Boulder community for 21 years. She became a Buff in the fall of 2001 after graduating from Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado where she grew up. She earned a B.A. in History in 2005 and less than a year later became a full-time staff member on campus. Sarah has spent most of her career in the Division of Student Affairs where for more than a decade she served Health and Wellness Services in administrative support, payroll and project management roles. In 2019 she graduated with an M.A. in Higher Education from CU Boulder. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic Sarah served as the Office Manager for the Pandemic Response Office.
Sarah lives in Longmont with her partner and two sons. She enjoys spending quality time with her family in the Rockies, traveling to new places and eating good food.
