$5 Discounted Parking
Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) is excited to announce that they will be continuing their popular $5 daily parking rate.
Intended for faculty and staff who only need occasional parking on campus, the program allows users to purchase spaces in various available lots in advance for a discounted daily rate of $5 per day. Purchases can be completed via the CU Boulder Parking Services portal. Additionally, step-by-step instructions are available on the Parking and Transportation Options page.
A few important things to remember:
- You must use the CU Boulder Parking Services portal to purchase your day permit. It will not work on the ParkMobile app or the CU-specific ParkMobile website used in previous semesters.
- This rate applies to specific lots and is dependent on space availability. If possible, always check the parking portal for availability prior to parking in a specific lot.
- Permits are available for purchase to accounts in good standing, meaning accounts with a $0 balance due. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact Parking Services directly to request an exemption.

Staff and Faculty Parking Permits Available Online
Good news! Faculty and Staff on monthly payroll can now purchase their parking permit online. You no longer need to submit applications and allocation forms.
Employees can log into the online parking portal using their IdentiKey and choose from the permit/lot options available. Step by step instructions can be found here. For long term parking, select the Employee: Standard Parking option. Eligible frontline employees will choose the Employee: Frontline Discounted Parking option. Other permit options include online off campus permits, off peak permits, daily discounted permits, and motorcycle permits.
In addition to selecting from the available lots, you also have the option to join a waiting list if your preferred lot is not available. If you need to park now, you should first choose an available permit/lot then view the permit to request a lot change. You can switch lots to another available location or join a waiting list for a lot that is currently sold out. As permit cancellations are processed or as Parking Services identifies additional space availability, permits will be offered to the next person on the waiting list for that lot.
Payment options include both pretax and post-tax payroll deductions which occur at the end of the month for which you had a permit. Permits with a start date on or after the 15th of the month will have their first month's price prorated to $30.00. Ongoing deductions will continue until you submit a request for cancellation of your permit.
Requests for cancellation must be effective before the end of the month to avoid being billed for the next month. Payment is non-refundable.
