Kathy Stutzman
At-Large Appointed

I am so excited to be back at CU-this time as a staff member and am looking forward to giving back to CU. In addition to my undergraduate degree in EPO Biology, I have two Master’s degrees - one in Management and a second Master’s degree in Health and Human Services Administration, both from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.

My interests in serving on the Engineering Staff Council include identifying and supporting engagement and community building initiatives. As a strategic planning consultant I have had the opportunity to work internationally in Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nicaragua building capacity and community. Most recently, I visited the Dadaab Refugee Camp in Kenya to listen to the educational dreams and needs of the more than 65,000 children living in the camp and to help develop and implement strategic initiatives to help support those dreams.

Locally, I am a long-standing Rotarian and Service Above Self award recipient from Rotary International, my club, the Boulder Valley Rotary Club meets on campus amplifying the homecoming. I am active in community gun violence prevention programs and policy development and am active in several LGBTQIA+ initiatives and programs that fight food insecurity. I look forward to exploring ways to bring my passion for service to the Engineering Staff Council’s programs and initiatives. In addition to enjoying the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Fiske Planetarium and Buffs Basketball, I am an avid gardener, love to cook and travel.
