Whether you are looking to build your resume, gain experience or leave a legacy, you can find opportunities to excel and lead. Students can stand out in various ways, including academic excellence, leadership roles, athletics, performing arts, etc. 

Whatever your passions or interests, there’s a place for you to shine. You can try new things to discover your strengths and what activities you enjoy.

Excel academically

CU Boulder attracts students interested in a wide range of majors and study areas. With eight colleges, schools and programs offering over 90 degree programs, students can make their mark academically. Explore research opportunities, internships, study abroad programs and more offered in your study area. Not only will you stand out within your department, but you’ll also enhance your resume and set yourself up for success after graduation.

Pursue your passions

Your first year at CU is an excellent time to discover what you are passionate about and meet other students with similar interests. CU Boulder offers many ways to explore your budding passions. You can join a student organization, apply for an on-campus job, volunteer or attend events. Then, you can deepen your level of involvement in the areas that interest you the most.

Get involved
