Basic Needs 

Evaluated existing framework in order to meet offices' regulatory requirements and documented policies & procedures that aligned with those regulations. 

 

Compliance Workflow 

Was a combined effort between OIT and Student Life to explore and create a workflow that will enhance the processing of contracts and MOUs through Docusign and OnBase. 

 

CUSG Documentation 

Collaborated with CUSG leadership to review documentation practices in regards to CUSG. The project explored and established a new workflow and repository for CUSG documents. 

 

CUSG Fee Audit  

In partnership with CUSG's Finance Board, Student Life Finance reviewed departmental budgets and funds using student fee funds. Once the review was complete, the team explored and established documentation, policies, and workflows to adhere to fund compliance. 

 

CUSG HR Workflow 

The project team reviewed and documented CUSG and GPSG positions and pay structure, and after they were established, the team created a new workflow.

 

Divisional Data Inventory & Reporting Initiative 

Pulling in division-wide data, this project created an online and print display of the division's larger story (and it will continue to be updated every year). 

 

Engineering Connections 

A collaborative project between the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) and the Division of Student Life (SL) involving six working groups who aligned efforts, cross-communicated, and collaborated in the planning of Engineering Village. 

 

Lease Transition 

This project helped to plan, transition and implement the change of lease ownership from Graduate Family Housing to University Housing. 

 

Lodging & Meal Rate Alignment & Differentiation 

This multi-phased project focused on separating the room from the board rate, outlining a clear understanding of how we want to attribute first-year student costs, and transparently justified our rate methodology. 

 

Meal Plan Prices 

The team reviewed meal rate alignment price of current FY25 Board Plans to our Block Meal Plans, and Auxiliary Guest Revenue rates. This laid the ground work for the Meal Plan Options project to dive deeper into the offerings and rates of campus dining meal plans.    

 

Res Hall Non-Student Sleeping Spaces 

This project involved conducting and documenting an inventory of residence hall spaces. Then, the team developed an equitable and transparent allocation process for spaces within Residence Life (classrooms, faculty in residence apartments, LLCs and RAPs). 

 

SA Crisis Response 

This year long, multi-phase project involved representatives from most Student Life units. The team evaluated current state, created and updated unit and divisional emergency responses, and took part in training with the Office of Emergency Management. 

 

SL Offboarding 

A collaborative effort led by SL Employee Experience, with various Student Life departments to research, evaluate, update, and create new procedures and policies for Student Life offboarding process. 

 

SL Onboarding 

A collaborative effort led by SL Employee Experience, with various Student Life departments to research, evaluate, update, and create new procedures and policies for Student Life onboarding process. 

 

Simphony Cloud Upgrade 

The project team, in collaboration with the vendor, fully migrated Simphony 1st edition to Simphony Cloud. Simphony is an enterprise point-of-sale software and hardware platform that supports front of house, back office, and kitchen operations for Campus Dining Services at the University of Colorado Boulder. 

 

StarRez 

This three-phase project focused on evaluating current state and capabilities of StarRez, identifying and working on prioritized areas within the system, and then documenting SOPS and building out reports. 

 

Summer 2024 Bed Optimization 

This project developed an optimization plan to conquer the sold-out summer 2024 conference season, which included the National Order of the Arrow conference (NOAC). 

     

UMC ADA Improvements 

This project first evaluated common spaces in the UMC to assess ADA code compliance. Once the evaluation was complete, areas were prioritized and evaluated, and an implementation plan developed outlining a schedule of improvements. The end result will make the UMC a safer place for students, staff, and guests.   

 

Student Employment (consult)

Helped to guide the Career Services team with their transition of student employment into Handshake.

 

GFH Housing Credits (consult)

 Worked with the team to create a guide to outline quick solutions to reoccurring tenant issues within Graduate Family Housing. This guide allowed staff to address issues as they arose in a consistent and timely manner.
