Tess Smith is a Senior Project Manager for Student Life at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she has worked since 2017. She has diverse experience in project management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Tess has successfully led a wide range of impactful projects at the University, including Student Life Crisis Response, Residence Hall Vandalism Reduction, Engineering Connections and the University’s vaccine initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tess holds a Master of Science in Global and International Education from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology from Purdue University. Before joining the University of Colorado Boulder, she managed the international co-op program at Drexel University working closely with students, faculty and staff both domestically and abroad. Tess has also worked for several Fortune 500 companies, including Eli Lilly and Company, 3M Company, Towers Watson and Bank of America. In these roles, she focused on project management, information technology and risk management, honing her skills in large-scale, cross-functional environments.
Outside of her career, Tess enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring Colorado through skiing and hiking. An avid traveler, she also takes every opportunity to plan and take trips around the world.
