Justice Burnaugh

Finishing his college experience on one of the highest possible notes — as the outstanding graduate from CU-Boulder's College of Media, Communication and Information (CMCI) — Justice Burnaugh is ready for some time to catch his breath.

It's been a continous road of excellence for Burnaugh, whose interests began to form during his senior year at Woodland Park High School in Woodland Park, Colorado. At the time, he had an internship at the Pikes Peak Courier View, a weekly newspaper.

Burnaugh says CMCI, where he majored in "news-editorial" journalism, then helped him find and hone his passion for digital journalism, especially audio production.

“Sound alone generates visuals in the mind and allows for imagination,” he explains. He says the influence of CMCI faculty pushed him outside of traditional print journalism and supported him as he explored his interest in radio.

“I’m proud to have been a part of it,” he said. “The possibilities are incredible.”

Post-graduation, Burnaugh is considering a career in radio after taking some time to relax and reflect.
