Sometimes eating a meal that is both balanced and delicious can be challenging—especially when you lead a busy student lifestyle. Campus Dining Services’ own registered dietitian, Allison Smith, can help. She has developed a program called Dietitian’s Dish, that provides a detailed meal idea each day in the C4C Dining Center.

As you walk into the atrium, you’ll see a sign with the protein, veggies, carbohydrates and healthy fats already selected for you out that day’s menu. It even tells you which station to find all the components. A recent lunch was made from selections all from Persian Ghaza and included beef and lamb kabobs, vegetable kabobs, rice with tomato and green beans, yogurt sauce and fresh herbs. Add an unsweetened beverage like water or tea and you’ve just created a well-balanced and really delicious meal. Easy!

You can also find a description and photo on CUBoulderLiving Instagram and CU Campus Dining Services Facebook page each Thursday if you want to check it out.
