CU Boulder, CU Denver and University of Colorado Colorado Springs are redesigning the Faculty Course Questionnaire, also known as the FCQ. This is the questionnaire that students complete every term to evaluate their courses and instructors.

Fall 2016 pilot

About a dozen instructors across each campus have volunteered to participate in the fall 2016 FCQ redesign pilot. As part of this pilot, students and faculty in the courses selected will assist the project team by testing new, “higher-tech” instruments, in some cases alongside the current method. The results and feedback from these instructors and students will help inform any changes to the current FCQ process and instrument in the years ahead.

Teaching faculty across the University of Colorado Boulder, University of Colorado Denver and University of Colorado Colorado Springs campuses received an email in late August informing them of this pilot. Faculty were encouraged to provide suggestions regarding the current FCQ instrument and process, and what they hoped to see change as a result of the pilot and the new tools.  Taking an FCQ
