The Anderson Language and Technology Center (ALTEC) provides a wide variety of non-credit language courses to community members as well as students, staff and faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder. These self-enriching courses are great for individuals preparing to travel abroad, looking to refresh their language skills or learn something new and worthwhile.

ALTEC will offer the following languages in the spring semester: Catalan, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili and Swedish. Courses are offered in a range of levels, from beginner to advanced.

To view all spring course offerings, please visit the ALTEC website.

Classes begin the week of Jan. 17 and end the week of May 15, running for either five weeks (meet twice per week) or eight weeks (meet once per week). Students will have access to a large collection of foreign-language materials at the ALTEC Multimedia Language Library, located in Hellems Arts and Sciences.

The cost of each course is $150 for community members (including former Continuing Education students) and $75 for CU Boulder affiliates (including faculty, staff, graduate students, retirees and spouses).

ALTEC language classes are non-credit and for enrichment only. Credit courses are available through Continuing Education and the CU Language Departments.
