The Office of Infrastructure and Safety is accepting applications for the position of assistant vice chancellor (AVC) of facilities operations and services. The deadline to apply is Nov. 10.

Current AVC of Facilities Operations and Services David Danielson is retiring in January after five years with the university.

The AVC of facilities operations and services provides strategic leadership for the development and maintenance of campus facilities and the delivery of logistical services. The role oversees facilities sustainability, physical plant operations, facilities maintenance, custodial services, grounds maintenance, utility generation and distribution, central receiving, warehousing and distribution services. This position is directly responsible for approximately 4.7 million square feet of highly complex building space comprised of research laboratories, classrooms and offices.
