Colorado Shakespeare Festival performance at the outdoor Mary Rippon TheatreThe Dead & Company will return to Folsom Field for the third consecutive summer this year. The band, featuring former members of the Grateful Dead as well as John Mayer and others, will perform on the evenings of July 13 and 14.

The Colorado Shakespeare Festival (CSF) also has shows planned for each night. While the July 13 indoor performance of Richard III will go on as planned, the July 14 outdoor performance of Love’s Labour’s Lost will be canceled due to noise impacts from the Dead & Company show.

Patrons who already had purchased tickets to the July 14 CSF performance will be able to exchange tickets for any other 2018 festival performance by contacting the CU Presents box office at 303-492-8008 or cupresents@colorado.edu.

“This was a difficult decision, and we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this causes for our CSF patrons,” said Tim Orr, CSF producing artistic director. “We are working hard with our campus partners to ensure that, in future years, event dates can be scheduled to avoid cancellations.”

The CU Athletic Department, which is hosting the Folsom Field concerts, will reimburse the Colorado Shakespeare Festival for lost ticket and concession revenue for July 14.
