As we near the end of finals, I want to congratulate you all on a successful year! If you are graduating, best of luck to you in the future and we hope you stay connected. If you are returning in the fall or staying for summer classes, I hope to see you around.

After going through the stress that comes with finals and end-of-the-school-year events, it’s important to make time to practice self-care, relax and recharge. Practicing self-care means doing activities that help you feel better emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally, and these activities don’t have to be a big investment of time or money. I encourage you to use the first few weeks of summer to take time for yourself, partake in some of your favorite hobbies and de-stress after your last final.

Additionally, I encourage you to also spend some time thinking about what you can do now to prepare for your next year. What experiences can you gain and add to your résumé from working a summer job? What goals do you have that you can begin working on now? Here are some ways for you to get started over the summer, for both graduating students and students returning in the fall.

Have a great summer, and remember—you are Buffs wherever you are!
