In 2008, the CU Boulder launched the Forever Buffs initiative, which got rid of annual membership dues for all alumni.

The Forever Buffs Puzzle is based on original artwork by alumnus Brad Gorman and is produced in Boulder by the alumni-owned Liberty Puzzles.

The Forever Buffs Initiative means alumni don't have to pay yearly dues to enjoy:
  • Career Services' help with résumés, interview tips or finding one's passion
  • Quarterly issues of the award-winning Coloradan magazine
  • Discounts at the CU Book Store and retailers nationwide
  • Access to events including football tailgates, alumni spotlights, beer tastings and more

As part of the anniversary, the Alumni Association has launched the Forever Buffs Store and Forever Buffs Wine.

And here’s a really fun part of the story since it involves a local artist and a local business owner–both CU Boulder alumni! The Forever Buffs Puzzle is based on original artwork by alumnus Brad Gorman. It is produced in Boulder by the alumni-owned Liberty Puzzles company. The 468-piece puzzle is laser-cut from quarter-inch plywood with specially shaped “whimsy pieces” including 10 buffaloes!

The puzzle is available for purchase from the Forever Buffs Store or Liberty Puzzles.
