Expert in House Financial Services Committee hearings available for media interviews

Risky loans similar to those that spurred the Great Recession are under scrutiny in the US House of Representatives this week.

Erik Gerding, a law professor at the University of Colorado Law School, appeared in front of the House Financial Services Committee to talk about building risk in certain loan markets. He is available for media interviews.

Gerding sees troubling parallels between leveraged loan and collateralized loan obligation markets and mortgage markets leading into the financial crisis, including declining underwriting standards.
