Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) has updated its 2022–23 academic calendar to align the district’s spring break with CU Boulder’s spring break dates.
For a number of years, CU Boulder’s spring break dates have matched with the Boulder Valley School District’s spring break dates and often those of the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD). This is helpful to many CU Boulder employees and CU Boulder parents and families who have students enrolled in one of the two nearby K-12 school districts.
BVSD and CU Boulder identified a discrepancy for the 2022–23 academic year.
Following the BVSD Board of Education’s unanimous vote on June 7, BVSD moved spring break to March 27–31, 2023, which matches CU Boulder’s break.
SVVSD has currently not made any changes to its planned March 20–24, 2023, spring break.
CU Boulder reached out to both school districts to set the stage for future cooperation on calendar setting that benefits all three institutions going forward.
