Attention graduates: Do you know about affinity celebrations and legacy cords?

Affinity celebrations

In celebration and recognition of community, the CU Boulder Alumni Association partners with alumni and campus groups to host affinity and special interest group graduation ceremonies. View this year’s full list of celebrations and learn more about the various stoles availableThe registration deadline for the affinity celebrations is Sunday, May 7.

As part of this, in partnership with the Chancellor's Office and the Office of First-Generation Programs and Enrichment within the Center for Inclusion and Social Change, there are also first-generation stoles available for first-generation graduates.

Legacy cords

Students whose parents, stepparents and/or grandparents attended CU Boulder are eligible for a complementary special cord to wear during commencement and other ceremonies. If you're walking in May, register now for your legacy cord. Learn more and register for a cord.

Commencement and recognition ceremonies

If you have a special stole, first-generation stole and/or legacy cord, be sure to wear it at the commencement ceremony and any recognition ceremonies you attend as well!
