Whether you live five minutes or 20 miles from campus, here are some tips to help you enhance your commute to campus.
Join the Commuting Buffs community
The Commuting Buffs Program supports students who commute to campus and first-year students living off campus to help build community at CU Boulder.
Here are resources offered for commuting students:

Getting around Boulder
All enrolled CU students and benefited employees can use your Buff OneCard to access RTD bus and rail routes, including routes to Denver International Airport.
Learn more about how to ride the bus or find a park-n-ride near you. Here are a few more tips for riding the bus:
Commuting by bike is an excellent way to get around campus and Boulder. If you plan to use your personal bike on campus, register it at one of the bike stations. Registering your bike gives you free access to the campus bike stations, including bike maintenance assistance. Boulder's bike-sharing program, BCycle, offers electric assist bikes around town. As a student, you get a free BCycle membership through the Environmental Center—follow these instructions to get your membership.
Weather closures or delays
Winter weather is here, which can cause campus to experience delays or closures. Students receive notifications through the campus alert system. The main CU Boulder website will also list closure information.
Eating on campus
Many students who commute to campus bring food to eat during the day. Microwaves are available for students to use outside the Alferd Packer Grill in the UMC.
Students can visit dining centers, grab-n-gos, retail markets and restaurants and cafes for on-campus dining options. Use the Nutrislice app or the Nutrislice website to view menus and filter for allergens, dietary restrictions and preferences. The on-campus dining locations accept Campus Cash and credit or debit cards. Block Meal Plans are available with different numbers of meals per semester to all students living off campus and in Bear Creek or Graduate and Family Housing for convenient dining in any of our dining centers, grab-n-gos and some restaurants.
