As we kick off fall semester, it’s the perfect time to introduce DPS, which houses four departments dedicated to your safety: the CU Boulder Police Department, Events & Emergency Management, Threat Assessment and Flight Operations.

DPS was formed earlier this year to integrate the university's robust public safety resources, strengthening existing partnerships to meet the evolving needs of our vibrant campus community.

Your safety is our top priority. As part of our commitment to campus safety, the division provides comprehensive safety resources for faculty, staff and students. We are here to empower you to make informed decisions about personal safety.

Please take a moment to explore the DPS website to learn more about these integrated safety resources and become familiar with tools you can use to make informed personal safety decisions.

Visit our Resources page to learn how to report safety concerns, receive support and take advantage of existing safety tools and trainings.

Stay informed by bookmarking the CU Boulder Alerts website. Here, you can find the most up-to-date information on emergency response and preparedness, ensure you’re signed up to receive text alerts and gain an understanding of CU Boulder’s three levels of alert notifications.

We hope you have a productive and safe fall semester.

Go Buffs!
