The November 2024 general election is coming! Get registered, request your ballot (if from out-of-state), and commit to voting! Ballots will be mailed to Colorado voters starting Friday, Oct. 11. Act now to ensure you receive your mail ballot.

In-state students

If you plan to vote (either in Boulder or your home county) please register or check your registration. Every time you move, you need to update your voter registration. You can also be registered at your permanent residence and have your ballot mailed to you at a closer more convenient location (see mailing fields in your registration record). Also, include an email address in your registration to be enrolled in Ballot Trax to get messages about when your ballot is mailed and received back by the election’s office.

Out-of-state students

You may choose either to request an absentee ballot from your home state or to register to vote in Boulder County. See the Student Voting Guidelines page for more details on these options.

Students living on campus

Whether voting in Colorado or via absentee ballot from your home state, there is a specific way you must list your on-campus address in your voter registration so your ballot can find you. Visit Boulder County’s Student Voting Guidelines page for instructions or contact their office for help at vote@bouldercounty.gov or 303-413-7740.

Faculty, staff, community members

Register to vote, confirm your registration or double check that your ballot mailing address is up to date!

In-person voting and services

Vote centers begin to open Monday, Oct. 21, for in-person registration and voting, Spanish-language ballots and more. Ballot dropboxes open when ballots are mailed.
