You're in the final stretch, Buffs! This week brings to campus the Campus Sustainability Summit, a Pizza & Politics event, your chance to pie a professor, grad student coffee hour, a chance to make your own finals survival kit and much more.

Monday, April 21

Grad Student Connections: Grad Student Coffee Hour

  9:30–11:30 a.m.   UMC 247 
Energize your day! CU Boulder’s Center for Student Involvement invites you to join for free coffee and connections with fellow graduate students.

Earth Day Kick-Off

  Noon–2 p.m.   Norlin Library, Quad
Celebrate Earth Day with CUSG and 25 student clubs who will share their passion for sustainability. Stop by for free live music, delicious food, tote bags and info flyers. Don’t miss out on free empanadas and ice cream! 

I Love Mondays: Earth Day

  2–3 p.m.   UMC, North Dining Room 
Stop by the north dining area for a snack on your way to class and the opportunity to learn about different campus organizations. This Monday we will be celebrating Earth Day. 

First-Gen Grad Celebration and Stole Pick Up 

  3–6 p.m.   Koenig Alumni Center 
Pick up your first-gen stole, learn more about commencement and celebrate graduation with fellow first-gen students.

Pizza & Politics: Politics of Science

Join the Department of Political Science, in partnership with the College of Engineering, Institute of Behavioral Science, and RIO for another Pizza & Politics panel discussion! 

Trivia Night

Campus Sustainability Summit

  April 22–23   UMC 
The 32nd annual Campus Sustainability Summit invites faculty, staff, students and community members to share, learn and celebrate CU Boulder’s wide array of sustainability leadership and accomplishments and rise to the challenges posed by the Campus Call to Climate Action. In collaboration with campus partners, the CU Environmental Center has held the summit annually or semi-annually since 1994.

Summer Skill Up Workshop

Discover your potential career paths and the skills you need to develop to achieve your goals. Sign up on Handshake!  

DIY Nights: Finals survival kits

  5–7 p.m.   Williams Village, Innovation Station 
Fuel up for finals! Join CU's Center for Student Involvement in building your own finals survival kit complete with a variety of snacks, drinks and wellness items such as hand sanitizer and Kleenex. Then stick around to de-stress with fun coloring pages. Registration in BuffConnect is free and required to participate. All supplies will be provided. 

Foodie Tuesday: AAPI Heritage Month

  5–7 p.m.   Williams Village East, lobby
Celebrate the vibrant culture of Vaisakhi, a major Sikh and Hindu festival celebrated across South Asia, especially in the North. Enjoy traditional festive foods, engage in activities and learn about Vaisakhi, Sikhism and bhangra, a traditional folk dance that is often performed during celebrations.  

Grad Cap Decorating

  5–7 p.m.   UMC, North Dining Room 
Seniors: Bring your cap, and we'll bring the supplies! Enjoy snacks while you make your grad cap pop. 

Pingpong tournament

  7–9 p.m.   The Connection
Come test your luck at a single or double knock-out pingpong tournament. Sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. There are prizes for top finishers!

Pie a Professor

Come pie your favorite professor and make a donation to the Senior's Creating Future Buffs Scholarship! Open to all students.

Stress(Less)

Make your own slime, aromatherapy roll-on and stress balls as part of our monthly Stress(Less) event. Snacks and supplies included.

AAPI Heritage Month in C4C Dining

  5–8 p.m.   C4C Dining Center 
Visit the C4C Dining Center to enjoy a specially curated menu from across AAPI cultures and test your knowledge of AAPI trivia!

Have any clothes with rips or tears? Join the Environmental Center’s Zero Waste Outreach Team for a mending workshop! Bring your clothing items by UMC 355 any time from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to spice up your wardrobe and learn some new skills.

Neighborhood Showdown: Flag football tournament

  10 a.m.–1 p.m.   Kittredge Field 
Show your pride in the first annual Neighborhood Showdown! There are two ways you can participate: Register to compete in a friendly flag football competition or attend the event to cheer on your team. All team members will get a free T-shirt, and the winners get a trophy. 

Buffs After Dark: 'Until Dawn' private screening

  8–11 p.m.   Cinemark Century Theatre 
Join us at the Cinemark Century Boulder theater for a private screening of the brand-new film adaptation of the 2015 hit horror game "Until Dawn" on Saturday, April 26. Access to the theater will start at 7:30 p.m., and the movie will start promptly at 8 p.m. Claim your free ticket and candy voucher in UMC 330 on Tuesday, April 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. while supplies last.
