Faculty members received numerous external honors in 2016-17 that are considered prestigious and noble. This week, the campus community joined to recognize and celebrate those awards.

After an internal search, Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation Terri Fiez appointed Alan Townsend director of INSTAAR. After 17 years at CU Boulder and a stretch at Duke University, Townsend returned as associate vice chancellor for research earlier this year.
