At the Colorado Board of Education February meeting, all of the School of Education’s teacher preparation programs were lauded and received sweeping reauthorization. CU Boulder was praised for its “true partnerships” with districts and reading instruction, an area where very few other university programs have earned reauthorization on the first pass.

Students donated 1,966 meal swipes as part of the Swipe it Forward event, which encouraged students with meal plans to “pay it forward” and support their fellow Buffs. The meal swipes will now be available as emergency meal cards to students in need of extra support.

Two professors are being recognized for inventions that could have “real impact on the welfare of society.” Corrella Detweiler and Wei Zhang have been named senior members of the National Academy of Inventors.

CU Boulder earned a spot on the recently published IIE Open Doors survey’s top 40 list for institutions hosting the most international scholars engaged in academic and research activities in 2021–22.

CU Boulder has been named a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for U.S. Students by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in recognition of the nine students and alumni who were named Fulbright finalists for the 2022–23 academic year.
