Provost Russell Moore and Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rourke will kick off the spring semester with a town hall for faculty and staff, giving updates on the logistical, budgetary, health and wellness, and academic issues they expect during the spring semester. Graduate students in teaching roles are also welcome to attend.

Join Fiske Planetarium to learn about the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. Explore the brilliant winter constellations and learn what objects to look for with the naked eye, a pair of binoculars or a small telescope.

Part of the Engage Locally Series at the campus's global climate summit, join Rep. Joe Neguse and leading climate policy advocates in a discussion of how to achieve the climate policy that will bring real change to communities.

Enjoy breakfast and social time Dec. 6, hosted and sponsored by Staff Council and the Office of the Chancellor. Bring your Buff OneCard (required for entrance) and consider donating supplies and nonperishable food items as part of the event.

The Center for African & African American Studies' Kwanzaa celebration will be an opportunity to recognize the talents and contributions of the Black Buff community. It will also offer the larger community an opportunity to reflect on their contributions to Black communities over the past year and commit to action in the next year.

At the interdisciplinary Research and Innovation for Climate Change Open House, which will help kick off the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit, visitors will be able to see scientific poster presentations, experience hands-on displays and network with others from across campus.

You're invited to attend a livestream discussion with the Polaris Dawn crew: Sarah Gillis—a CU Boulder alumna—Jared Isaacman, Anna Menon and Scott Poteet. The crew will spend up to five days in orbit conducting research on human health and laser-based communications technology. The launch will include experiments from Professors Allie Anderson and Torin Clark.
