Dr. John Zhai

Dr. Zhiqiang (John) Zhai is a Professor in the Department of Civil,Environmental and Architectural Engineering (CEAE) at The University of Colorado at Boulder (UCB). He has a unique and integrated background in Mechanical and Architectural Engineering. Dr. Zhai received his Dr.Eng. in Fluid Mechanics from Tsinghua University (China), and also holds a Ph.D. in Building Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Zhai served as a full-time Senior Fellow for Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) in 2010-2011.  Dr. Zhai’s primary research and teaching interests include integrated building systems, sustainable building technologies, and indoor-outdoor environment quality.
