Tynt Technologies

Tynt Technologies was founded in 2020 by Michael D. McGehee (CU Boulder Chemical and Biological Engineering) and his then PhD students Tyler Hernandez and Michael Strand. They developed the initial technology at Stanford before coming to CU Boulder to complete their work and found their company. McGehee brought in Ameen Saafir, a former student and experienced founder, to head the company. Tynt has participated in many CU Boulder programs, including the Lab Venture Challenge (LVC) (winner), multiple Destination Startup® showcases, Demo Day with the New Venture Challenge (NVC), and has had multiple investments from the Buff Venture Fund.
