The University of Colorado Connection
Whisper Energy was founded in 2023 in the inaugural Embark Deep Tech Startup Creator by Galen Williams. The company was founded off the work of CU Boulder’s Gregor Henze (CU Boulder Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering) in collaboration with Iowa State University, the University of Washington and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Whisper Energy is commercializing a state-of-the-art ultra-low-power sensor platform for energy efficiency in commercial buildings.
