Maddie Ferrebee

Maddie Ferrebee is a PhD student in Environmental Engineering. She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University. She completed her master’s thesis on spatiotemporal trends in particle-associated microbial communities in drinking water distribution in May 2023. At CU, Maddie is advised by Dr. Karl Linden, and is currently doing research on UV inactivation of biofilms within drinking water. Maddie is passionate about creating solutions for drinking water and wastewater in rural areas, both in the United States and abroad. In her free time, she enjoys baking, crocheting, and playing with her dog.
