Vanessa Maybruck

Vanessa Maybruck is an Environmental Engineering PhD student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow in Cresten Mansfeldt’s lab. She is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology (IQBIO) PhD certificate program through CU’s BioFrontiers Institute. Vanessa is interested in wastewater ethics and equity, especially as it relates to water reuse and emerging contaminants such as pharmaceuticals. She enjoys engaging with the community through education and outreach efforts, and outside of school, she can be found singing, spending time with her family and friends, obsessing over her favorite fandoms, and volunteering. Vanessa also has bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics (applied track) and Secondary Mathematics Education with a minor in Biochemistry from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
