Whitney Knopp is a professional master’s candidate with MCGER pursuing her MS in Global Environmental Engineering. She received her BS in Environmental Engineering from CU Boulder in May 2023 with a minor in political science. She currently works as a design engineer intern at JVA Inc. Consulting Engineers in Boulder, CO and as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Global Engineering, taught by Dr. Evan Thomas. This summer, Whitney will be working with Fresh Life, part of the Sanergy Collaborative, in Nairobi, Kenya on multi-stakeholder engagement, community involvement and developing enabling policies and industry standards for urban, container-based sanitation. Whitney is passionate about work in the WASH sector that protects public health, ensures dignity and opportunity to all. In her free time, Whitney enjoys running, hiking, doing yoga, snowboarding, listening to music and spending time with her family, friends, and her black lab, Pepper.
