2024 Distinguished Alumni Mentor of the Year Award: Ben Mousseau

Throughout college and in the eight years since graduation, Ben Mousseau (ChemBio’16) has felt grateful for the mentors who guided him. Now a global supply manager at Tesla, Mousseau gives back to CU Boulder's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering by mentoring students through the department’s Alumni Student Mentor Program.

The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers at CU Boulder organized a campus AAPI: All New Year Festival in early April. More than 450 people attended the cultural celebration, which featured important cultural aspects through art, music, dance, language and cuisine.

Magnus Boee: Balancing success in athletics and engineering

Magnus Boee, a graduate student in civil engineering, excelled in Nordic skiing for the Colorado Buffalos. As a Division 1 athlete, he completed both a BS and MS (expected spring 2024) in civil engineering while training and competing. Boee represented South Korea in Nordic skiing at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics and is now aiming for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
