The College of Media, Communication and Information (CMCI) and the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD), at the request of Provost Russell Moore, are in the process of integrating. No students, faculty, staff, or programs are currently affected as this integration process gets underway. This process is expected to take several years to complete.

The integration of ENVD and CMCI is in response to the longstanding need for an academic home for ENVD that would support its research, scholarship and creative work. This was strongly reinforced by the 2019 Academic Review and Planning Advisory Committee (ARPAC) recommendation that ENVD find an “appropriate administrative home.” ENVD is currently housed in the Graduate School. See the charge letter from Provost Moore (Feb 27, 2023)
