ATOC has been fortunate to attract arguably the most outstanding graduate students in the field. Our students receive fellowships and nationally recognized awards each year. They provide excellent instruction to CU-Boulder’s undergraduates as teaching assistants. They make scientific advances while conducting innovative research. Our graduates go on to successful careers in many sectors including academia (e.g. recently to Penn State, University of Michigan, Virginia Tech, George Mason University, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Yale), national research institutes (e.g. recently to NCAR, NREL, NOAA, NASA, Sandia National Lab), private industry (e.g. recently to Apple, General Electric, DigitalGlobe, Ball Aerospace), and the military (e.g., recently to the Air Force).
