Dr. Wobbekind will share his economic outlook for 2024. Although the economy defied expectations in 2023, avoiding a recession, some industries went through their own business cycle, leading to “rolling recessions” that were more than offset by strength in other industries. Colorado has continued to grow faster than the majority of other states, but the outlook for 2024 is mixed, with some notable headwinds.

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. The Business of Sports:
This panel will focus on projects and initiatives that are shaping front range communities including Denver, Commerce City and Colorado Springs. Amongst other topics, the panelists will discuss stadiums/facilities and related initiatives and the economic benefits and development opportunities that are generated by these projects.
