The market for natural and organic products has been gaining steam for years now, but all that growth means it’s not just enough to be passionate about your purpose.

On this episode of the Leeds Business Insights podcast, Heather Kennedy—an instructor at Leeds and a former leader with Fresh Ideas Group and Whole Foods—talks about Boulder’s strength as a hub for this industry, shows the challenges being created by global forces, and offers advice for people thinking about entering the natural and organics space.

“A lot of these folks don’t have the business skills or training that really would make bringing that product to market a lot easier and more efficient,” Kennedy said. “It’s a tough, tough industry, with a lot of competitors.”

Leeds Business Insights features conversations with alumni, faculty and others in the Leeds community, who discuss current challenges in business and offer actionable takeaways to help you solve problems and advance in your career. You can find an episode summary on the Leeds website, and can subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
